Photography outing to an arboretum...

I met with my Picture This meet up group at The Chesapeake Arboretum. There were a few flowers but this is certainly not their peak season. This was one time where I had to be REALLY creative. I had a really hard time, although I tend to be creative, but this was tough for me. I met some very nice people and other than thinking I killed my camera (Thanks Meghan for coming to my rescue) it was a good experience. My pictures don't impress me but....this is not my thing, so I am learning to step out of the box. I love color so being that there really wasn't much, that posed a hurdle but, I stumbled across it. I DID learn, which is ultimately the point and I am glad I went. I look forward to more outings. My pictures are unedited.

  2. I agree with Lori, the picture of the tree is my favorite! You made a tree look interesting! Go girl. It is really hard when everything is brown and dead and when you prefer to shoot people and not landscapes. Next time you should try to be a little more abstract. Kind of like the first couple you have on here. Try shooting one thing at a lot of different angles and then move on to the next thing. Once you start thinking abstract you will be really surprised as to how many things you can shoot and make look interesting. You are very creative with your angles, go with that strength!
